In the Church of St. Anne the echo from our singing was terrific though there is no Biblical evidence for "Anne". Interesting seeing dams and Pool of Bethesda built by Hezekiah and others.
This is a quiet place of refuge from the hustle and bustle of the Old City. A great place to stop in the middle of the day. The gardens were restorative. Watching and listening to groups of pilgrims singing as they walked through the church was facinating. Great acoutics and very moving to watch the pilgrim groups.

Outside by the church you can see the ruins of Byzantine basilica and Crusaiders church. In the same place are the Pools of Bethesda, a large, double public reservoir. It was in use during...

Try the acoustics and take some time out of the fray to enjoy the peace and solitude of the grounds as well as the sanctuary.
The outside of the church brings you to a spiritual mood. The trees and blooming plants are beautful. Once inside the church, you can light a candle, pray, or sit and admire the church. The sound within the church is amazing. You can hear someone talk in a regular voice and be in the back. We were treated to a...

Always nice to be there but didnt know it closes in the early afternoon for 2 hours. Had to waste some time to get in.
I have spent a lifetime in and out of cathedrals and love all kinds of music in such amazing spaces, but I was taken aback by the acoustics of St Anne's which were far beyond expectations. Definitely worth not just visiting but going to visit.
The church is beautful and the acoustics are amazing. Several groups sang when we were there and it will bring tears to your eyes. It was next to the Pool of Bethesda and was easily accessible. They also had good bathrooms, that were nice after walking around all day.
