I walked the Ramparts Walk between Jaffa Gate and Lions Gate. It is a nice way to see the city from above. Bring a lot of water on a hot day.

This is not a huge thriller, but it was nice to do. 16 shekels for admittance to an elevated view of old and new Jerusalem. No crowds, no shop keepers begging you to look at their wares, just some steps. This would be difficult for anyone with issues in walking ie. small children and elderly persons.
Otherwise you...

There is a lot of walking and steps but the views of the old and new city was very nice, I think that the side that starts at the citadel is nicer, towards the end you will get a very nice view of the Olive mount, if you don't feel like walking so much then you should do at least...

The walk is atop the walls of the old city. It provides many unique views of the city. A must do in Jerusalem
The walk is nice but a little bit long if you start on the Jaffa gate via Damascus gate and after that you can only get of the wall by the Mosque.
We bought a national pass for Israel and the walls are mentioned too under it but when we wanted to handle that the guy at the ticket office...

If you are fit to walk for a while and go up and down stone steps, I'd highly recommend this. We took a long time to walk it because we were taking so many photos. This walk gives you the opportunity to see many sides of Jerusalem. You also get to experience the walls of the old city firsthand.
We do lots of walking on our adventures (Walking Adventures International) and this walk is a good one. We walked on the walls from the Ottoman period starting at the Jaffa gate to the Dung gate. You walk past the Zion gate on your way. It was the day of the Jerusalem Marathon, so we got to see runners and...

Walking the ramparts above the walls of the old city of Jerusalem was icing on the cake of my stay. After seeing so much, being able to climb up on the walls, walk around the city without fighting the human traffic and maze of narrow streets, then look down upon all with a birds-eye view was a special treat. It...

...only 3 Stars. Why?
We made the long section between the Jaffa Gate and the Lions Gate. There are many interesting views across the old- and new town and many chances to take photos from interesting perspectives. The walk itself is not boring as there are many steps up and down and the way is winding along the top of...
