definitely go when the artisans are out. Such fascinating things, well priced hand made jewelry and crafts. Then go to the Carmel Market for the mass produced stuff. Great prices in both places, and they're right next to each other, and then the 'real' city is just down the street.
this place is a must. I will never get tiered of it, and belive me, i have been there many times! The street is filled with different artists, selling their crafts. You can find there jewelery, ceramic, wood, glass and other crafts. Some of them should exhibit in museums. A real pridise for art lovers or gifts shopers!

This is a very enjoyable stroll through old streets near the Carmel market, where artists show their wares twice a week. It's certainly worth an hour, but the quality of the art was mediocre at best.
This place offers street vendors with usually their own artwork, jewelry, art, ceramics, mezuza's, etc.
It is held every tuesday and friday and is usually packed with vendors and shoppers.
The atmosphere is great and prices can be haggled over like any other market.in the middle east.

I make a point to visit each time I visit Israel. This is a market with different pieces of art from local artists. I always find something very special and this last time I bought a bronze and Jerusalem stone candle holder for Shabbat. Prices are reasonable and there is something for everyone.
