I visited the circuit during the evening. There was no one else there so was great to have a look around and imagine what it is like in full swing! The seats don't go as far along the track as I had expected but it was all very clean and presentable.

This circuit is superb for the F1. Well laid out free shuttle buses to and from the circuit and to your grandstand. All covered viewing and great value tickets. Free concert of Ne yo and Calvin Harris in the evening was really good and overall just a great weekend. Would recommend hiring a car though as it's really cheap and... More

The staff not well trained to handle large crowds during the F1 season. Ended up in the queue for 2 hours. An example of how clueless when it comes to the interpretation of the security policies is "Water bottles and soft drink cans that are sold inside cannot be taken to the stands"..

a few days at the track but wished I was driving! The traffic getting there on race day was horrendous so leave in good time. Security was tight but reassuring. There was a good amount of shade. Polite and generally helpful staff.

Not up to the standard of circuits elsewhere. Biggest let down was no beer. You could get a beer, but only if you paid out $120 to enter the Gulf Air tent, then you had to buy the beer on top of the entry fee. Race was OK, but the facilities were a big let down!

I attended the Grand Prix last month and it was a wonderful experience. Our seat in the Stand had views of the first corner, two straights and a sharp left hander. We were also opposite a huge screen informing of lap times, pit stops and tyre changes. Without this, following the race can be difficult when the cars start their... More

This Shakir Circuit is not so far from Manama (as Bahrain is just a small island country). All grandstands equippe with big screens/monitors to see the other actions by TV, although we can see other sides from the distance. As there's a political issue in Bahrain, security screening was too excessive and made people late to enter the grandstands.

Was here for the 3 days of the Formula 1 GP weekend (April 2013). Everything was positive about it from my point of view with the exception of the security. Great racing circuit (we were in grandstand at Turn 1) and the organisers did well to offer a range of other entertainments when nothing car-like was on track. I never... More
