It looks really charming standing watch over the lovely old Muscat city (Muttrah) but I believe its not open to the public (the door of the stairs leading up was locked). It looks lovely at night with its lights on and is a good subject for photography. Its easily visible from the corniche.

Had to jump a fence to get to the watch tower because it is permanently closed. Abused by local gent for doing so.

This disused look-out is a short distance from Muttrah bazaar and is accessed from behind a derelict cafe. Park in the cafe car park and go behind the old cafe to access the steep steps (hundreds of them) to climb to the top. Views from here are fantastic and look out over the harbour and inland to the park. Worth... More
