Unique architectural attraction in an amazing location overlooking the sea. Vilaro made the most of this place on the point of the peninsula. Loved visiting the home and experiencing his art.

The original home of Paez Vilaro, there are no corners, the view is incredible. I do not like that half of the house was sold to Hotel hilton.
The town holds the original house were the artist Carlos Paez Vilaro lived and worked. The bar and the terrace have the most beautiful and amazing view for a romantic sunset.
This cliffside house/hotel of white-painted drippy concrete (like a reticent Gaudi) and blue tiles and decoration (Picasso) is the work and vision of one artist. It comes across as almost entirely derivative, and you won't find anything really new or surprising. Having said that, it is very very beautiful because it fits its seaside location perfectly, particularly when the sun...

I stayed here recently for one night. The property itself is amazing, but the hotel lacks. The hotel is very expensive and offers nothing luxury for the price. A room that costs over $210 a night should offer a bit more. If I could do it differently I would visit and stay elsewhere.
Very touristy, and they want to sell you something, but alas, it is unique and you won't forget it, in a charming area of Punta Ballena, fabulous views and quite spectacular set up.
Huge white hotel built by artist Carlos Páez Vilaró on the edge of peninsula between punta del este and piriapolis.Come here and see the sunset and hotel from the cafe, pay entrace and use ticket of entrance to cafe in cafe with decent prize.Bee here in good time before sunset to avoid stress and get a good place.Sat and watched sunset...

The museaum interesting, most of all the information how this great man built this house which was a dream of his. We had lunch at the...

Very nice setting and plenty of artwork to view. Even with tour buses there it did not seem overly crowded
You must go there for the sunset. It´s a very peculiar hotel, incrusted in the rocks. You need to pay a small fee to get in (we paid US$ 15,00 for a couple, but you can use this value in the bar). Next time in Punta, I will consider this hotel for staying.
