I wanted a tour of the Great Wall before we went to our Hotel off of the Diamond Princess. Jerry (super guide- very good English and very knowledgeable!!) picked us up at 6:20 am on the dot! We took off towards the Great Wall Mutianyu Section -a three hour drive from the port of Tianjin. It didn't seem that long... More

We live in Hong Kong, but my parents came to visit us from France and don't speak much English or Chinese, so having a guide who could speak French to them to make the trip to Beijing worthwhile was kind of mandatory for our family of 6 travelling for 6 days to Beijing (2 65+ year old, 2 parents and... We stayed in Beijing in March 2013 and booked a tour with The China Guide based on good reviews on Tripadvisor. We were more than pleasantly surprised with our tour. In March of this year we did a cruise which included Beijing and Shanghai. Rather than pay the very expensive prices of the ships tours we decided to use the China Guide. We were very impressed with the flexibility they provide, allowing us to decide exactly where we wanted to go and where we wanted to stay. Our tour in... More

We used the China Guide to book an independent tour from our cruise ship. We enjoyed this trip immensly and at a far less cost than the ship's tours. We covered a lot in the two days we had. Our guide Erik was great and full of knowledge. The restaurants and the hotel used for our overnight stay were very... More

A group of us from the cruise ship Ms Volendam used The China Guide for trips in Shanghai and an overnight stay in Beijing. Yan organised our trips in both cities. We were picked up at the ports on arrival. Our guides, Erik in Beijing and Winnie in Shanghai were excellent and really looked after us. In Shanghai we went... More

Found The China Guide on the web recommended by a major travel book company. Contacted them and selected our hike on the Jinshanling to Simanti section of the wall. Everything, transportation and hike, was as advertised. Our guide, Andy, was awesome. Great hike on the wall.
