Not really asntonishing or anything, it's a nice place to see, because of its architecture. It is one of the historical buildings in Santiago.
The post office is housed in a beautiful building on Plaza de Armas. It certainly is worth a visit when you are in the square.

It's worth popping in for a look at the beautiful lobby. In addition, there is a small, unmanned Postal Museum off the right side (free). If you like old technology or antique machines there are some nice examples you shouldn't miss.
