The late artist's magnificent house, with his clothes still in his (enormous) closet, and incomparable artwork throughout. Well worth a visit
It is amazing to me that an artist could make it his life's devotion to express the sorrows of man, not only in his country but throughout the world. When you enter the museum/home you will have a private guided tour in Spanish, English or German. The home is beautiful, and beautifully-located in a Quito neighborhood. Artwork includes pieces by many well-known European artists. We found it fascinating.
Even though I am not a big fan of Guayasamin paintings, I have to say the museum is interesting. If you love art, you should not miss this place. In addition, visitors can have a great view of Quito from here.
