This is quite monumental building, but its architecture made it looks like have no havy at all, like it reach for heaven. Pay atention on its outside colonades from a distant, when some other person go around them and you will expirienced the unique touch of reality

The grand exterior in red and yellow stripes gives a good impression. They are still raising funds to decorate the interior, though the iconostasis is in place and it is used for worship.

They say it was built in the 19th century in a 'neo-moravian' style, red bricks and earthy colors. It is very beautiful and almost perfect in its visual harmony. If you are not acquainted with Orthodox canonical architecture this is a good place to start.

Beautiful, but mostly from outside. This church was supposed to be main church for Serbian Orthodox Religion, but they leaved the project before it was painted from inside and started building Church of St. Sava as a main one. Church is classic Byzantine style and lays at the forefront of the beautiful Topcider Park.

Saint Marks Church is an almost modern church if we consider 20th century as a term for modernity. This is a very powerful large church in tradtional orthodox architecture far from the long naves and single towers we see in countries in Northern Europe.

This church is something you should never skip if you are visiting Belgrade. It is situated in the city centre but still in a beautiful park, just a minute walking distance from the National Assembly and President's office. It is the place where Serbian Emperor Dusan the Great is buried.

St. Mark is near Tajsmadan Park. Behind it there is the small Holy Trinity Russian Ortodox church with the tomb of the General Wrangel
