It would be interesting for everybody, even for kids. Perfect exposition, a lot of different things to see with kids.

The site that is the Great Patriotic War Museum has several "attractions". The most obvious is Motherland Rus - a giant statue which can be seen all over the city. Around the park area were a number of small museum sites, each needing a small entrance fee. We visited a small park of military vehicles - but perhaps more impressive... More

This is actually a complex of 3 museums on a large open site. The Great Patriotic War museum is located at the furthest reach of the property and in between are an outdoor aviation museum with a large collection, and a smaller indoor museum dedicated to the Afghan war. (closed when we visited) I have been to many war museums... More

This magnificent war museum that is divided in several parts, exhibits a big collection of vehicles and artifacts. It purely describes the history of WW2 and is a place not to be missed. With cheap entrance but with no guides in english language (only in russian or ukrainian) it is still a must see museum. One of the most creepy... More

I visited at the end on March the snow was very deep but all of the pathways were clear and the outside attractions were open. The museum building and exhibits were very interesting my only complaint is there are almost no English language descriptions for the items displayed, I was lucky enough to have a Guide so not to bigger... Opened on 9th May 1981 by then-Soviet leader Leonid Brezhnev and accorded to its current statues on 21st June 1996 by former Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma, this is a place that cannot be missed. The memorial complex covers approximately 10 hectares on a hill overlooking the Dnipro River. It contains weapons used in World War II as well as many... More

Enjoyed this museum, lots of collections of world war 2 artifacts and vehicles. If you enjoy history, it is very interesting, as pointed out in other reviews, it is laid out as it happened. If you do not speak Russian try and take a language translation device with you, you will get more from the information that is only in... More

If you are interested in war memorabilia I'd recommend a visit. The museum exhibits a nice collection of vehicles and artifacts. The museum seems to be laid out in a way that presents the war and stories relating to the war in an informative and interesting way. However, being a non-russian speaker I lost all the context and it gave... More

One of the greatest places I visited in Ukraine. I'be never been emotional about ww2, but this museum not only shows how the nation suffered during the war, but it also celebrates the glory of it.
