We had great night at a Ukrainian opera. We enjoyed the building and the opera. The first half was a little slow but the second half was fun with dancing and great costumes. It is also very afforable. Our front row seats were less than $25

Attended Verdi’s “A Masked Ball” and was impressed by the singers, musicians and the lovely opera house itself. Tickets are extremely inexpensive for an opera of such a top quality, so there is nothing stopping you from attending more than once.
As a group of eight we went to see Sleeping Beauty. The Theatre itself was reasonably impressive, and the Ballet itself was a good performance. The facilities were quite limited, a small bar - but the seats were very comfortable and the air conditioning good.

This may be the most architectural stunning opera house in the world. Romeo and Juliet was featured. A site that cannot be missed if you visit Kiev.
Went to see a classical ballet, that I would not normally select. Took the 40uah ticket, which surprisingly still had a decent view (although seats are not that comfortable). Great experience!

The exterior of this Opera House is worth the uphill climb from Kreshcatik Street since it's only a couple blocks away. I walked by the Opera House a few days ago and the last time I was inside was for a performance in February or March (not my first time). Get there early and go downstairs where coat checking is...

Cool place for opera lovers, good orchestra and performers, classical performances. Nice room and good buffet (but large queues).
