I just visited the factory. I am traveling alone and they were more than happy to take me thru it solo. The tour guide was very knowledgable and enthusiastic. I really enjoyed the history of it all but the jewelry is really quite amazing! Probably not a kids trip but thought it a great afternoon trip.

We so enjoyed our first tour at Reprosa in Costa del Este that we went back when friends came to visit Panama. It is well worth seeing more than once. The actual store is not even worth the 3 minutes it would take to look over it. Perhaps, the tour is better? Unfortunately, it was only available on a limited basis and despite our 3 afternoons of availability, not do-able.

Interesting being shown all the stages in how they make the reproductions. I even got to try my hand at polishing. They show a short film first and give you a local drink. At the end everyone gets a goodie bag, including a bottle of the local booze, some hot sauce and some snacks.
