A very pleasant outdoor corner of Pula. We were especially lucky since we came across ithe square and arch just when a crowd of people dressed in Roman costume were meeting there acting as gladiators, an Emperor and fine ladies, all to walk in procession to the Arena. Well preserved, and interesting. Pula has constructed itself around these ancient monuments. Check out old walls and you will notice that they are often made up of pieces from Roman building and pillars.
the triumphal arch of serguis is a high frequentated roman hotspot in pula and everytime overflooded by tourists. a nice place to observe people is the outdoor cafe near the arch. at night the arch is illuminated and the place in front of invits for a stop to enjoy the special atmosphere.
