I was disappointed by the visit at this Palace. I took a guided tour but I found the palace not at all to my liking more of a Scottish castle than a French chateau. The rooms are simple with lots of wood and not too many paintings or decorations. It does not have the prestige and allure of the Livadya Palace...

This is where the map of Europe after 2nd WW was agreed between Roosevelt, Churchill and Stalin. The Tsars has been living there too in the past. Great views!

Nice area to explore. Beautiful gardens and architecture, tour of the inside was interesting. Gorgeous views of the Black Sea. Visited Spring 2008.

Vorontsovsky Palace in Alupka. Constructed in 1830-1848. Worth visiting. The interior was closed off when I visited. But got to see much of the outside of the palace.
Our favorite palace in Yalta- parquet floors, unusually styled rooms, exquisite mixture of architecture and design with incredible views of the Black Sea and mountains.
