We have installed easy to read informational plaques and a media room for our visitors. We are currently restoring the park, as well as renovating all the facilities. We are also preparing additional cultural events and entertainment for our visitors.Following the Castle’s change of ownership, director Narcis Ion remained with the Ministry of Culture, but has continued to be our valued advisor. We have welcomed a new group of managing directors: Lia Doru Trandafir, Corin Trandafir, and Alexandru Priscu. We are happy to receive every guest that comes to visit us.Welcome to our castle, our home.Sincerely,Dominic HabsburgMaria-Magdalena HolzhausenElisabeth Sandhofer « less

Bran Castle is on the tourist trail and thus is surrounded by over priced coffee shops and souvenir stalls but these are easily ignored. As is the Dracula link, which is tenuous, and not much of a feature inside the castle. The castle itself is an interesting and well presented historical attraction. It was built to guard the pass across... More

Even if the castle is a jewl, the ornamentation is kind of missing...as some of the local authorities are taking what is not theirs More

Nothing worth seeing. The legend is not exploited in any manner, the fortress is less spectacular than other castles in Germany or France. You don't loose anything if you skip visiting it. More

It makes a nice daytrip together with Rasnov fortress. From Brasov there goes a mini/maxibus every hour or maybe even every half an hour. The bus stops very closeby the castle. The castle itself is very touristy, but worth the visit. In the case that you have limit time and you have to chose between Bran and Peles castle in... More

Nothing to do with Dracula, except a loose historical connection. Dracula was written in the late 1800s. Vlad the Impaler was around early 1400s. However, the visit is more than worth it for the perspective of what it was like during the middle ages and the royal Romanian family in the mid 1900s. More

Not as toursisty as people make out...but you can see why Bram Stoker chose it as the residence of his fictional character. Its prominent feature set in the landscape with a magical and mysterious feel. Easily accessible from Brasov and not to be missed. More

Castle in itself is great, the grounds and surrounding scenery are beautiful. Very busy and touristic. Although it is the 'Dracula castle', there is nothing "vampiric" about it whatsoever (except a cheesy display inside! :) ). There are vendors around the castle, but they sell stuff one would find in a dollar store and authentic-made-in-China Romanian souvenirs that have nothing... More

The small village of Bran is a great place to spend an evening. We were lucky to be there mid week and had a villa with a deck overlooking the castle. It happened to be a thunderstorm so the setting was perfect. We enjoyed going through the castle as well. This is not the true Dracula castle, only the Hollywood... More

The castle itself is an attraction, but I expected it to be more interesting. The whole Dracula story is fake as you'll read in there. It was just a character. We had very bad experience with the girl who sold the tickets. She sold student tickets to 40+ old Romanians in front of us without them showing any student card.... More
