Popular place to visit. Walk across with all the inhabitants of Esfahan. The river are gone and the bridges only cross sand. Hope it comes back soon as it makes the people more happy

The Khaju Bridge - built by Shah Abbas II - has 23 arches, and is very beautiful to visit. When I visited Esfahan in March 2013, the rivers were completely dry from the dams that were built approx. 3 to 4 years ago that hold the water at bay. I had walked alongside the bridge viewing the sluice gates beneath... More

This is an absolutely beautiful bridge. I suggest you visit the bridge both in the day time and at night to truly appreciate the magnificence of its architecture. In the evening, people will come out and sing under the bridge and the echoing sounds of their voices makes the experience even more special. A hidden part of the bridge that... More

The bridge is beautiful but unfortunately during winter there was no water on the river. That would have made it look even more beautiful.

Sit on the steps of the historical bridge from the golden period of Safavid Dynasty (16-18th Century), and enjoy the sound of the Zayandeh Rood river in the middle of Safavid, one-in-the-world capital city, called Isfahan. A big city, full of attractions that don't let you leave, because in first hours, you will fall in love with it.

The bridge of the Zayandeh river, which is dry at the moment and will only be filled with water in winter and spring. Nonetheless, it is still quite beautiful with actual cobble stones. On this bridge you can see the tea houses that were used by the shahs to watch the water spectacles in spring.

best to go in winter when the river has water, or on Friday, which is the Muslim Sunday, when men sing their songs under the bridge
