The Khaju Bridge - built by Shah Abbas II - has 23 arches, and is very beautiful to visit. The bridge is beautiful but unfortunately during winter there was no water on the river. That would have made it look even more beautiful.
Sit on the steps of the historical bridge from the golden period of Safavid Dynasty (16-18th Century), and enjoy the sound of the Zayandeh Rood river in the middle of Safavid, one-in-the-world capital city, called Isfahan. A big city, full of attractions that don't let you leave, because in first hours, you will fall in love with it.
The bridge of the Zayandeh river, which is dry at the moment and will only be filled with water in winter and spring. Nonetheless, it is still quite beautiful with actual cobble stones. On this bridge you can see the tea houses that were used by the shahs to watch the water spectacles in spring.
best to go in winter when the river has water, or on Friday, which is the Muslim Sunday, when men sing their songs under the bridge
You must see it to feel this art...we were there for many hours and did not want to go from this place.
