we were visiting friends in the hotel,and took a boat ride from the outside of the hotel to the souk it was very nice,so much things to buy,clothing,shoes,magnets,bags basically everything,lots of restuarants

This is an excellent place to stroll around & look at interesting local items. A great place for retail therapy. Put it on your 'to do' list as you will really enjoy the atmosphere & the variety of merchandise on display. The decor of the souk also adds to the atmosphere. Have fun in the souk! :)

The Dubai has done its best ti construct a place with Arabian atmosphere which takes you to deep in Arabian novels, when you are in souk madinat you remember novel about nights of Baghdad, great shopping, extraordinary views and also restaurant prepare a different place which you can not find another place in the world.

Whether you're a hardened shopper or a "moocher" this souk is for you. There are many shops and stalls in all of the nooks and crannies. If you need a break from the shops you can watch the rescue turtles as they swim or take a relaxing boat ride.

This place has certainly the wow effect: although this is an artificial environment it gives the impression of authenticity. Great place to relax and do some shopping. I would really go back only to visit this place!

A nice clean indoor souk selling more expensive items than a traditional souk. Great views of the Burj. Plenty of restaurants to choose from a good outdoor seating areas when the weather is not too hot.

Very peaceful in the morning before the serious shoppers arrive! Lovely to walk around. Abra trip is good and the views lovely. We actually went twice - we enjoyed the atmosphere and the souks. The Noodle House was excellent and we got to hear an Arabic choir - if that is the term?! from across the lake and fort. All... More

This place has some beautiful buildings, excellent place to take some nice photos. The souks are expensive though.

This gave us a real taste of the arabian feel, as there is a souk with lots to see and buy. Alot of choice in where to eat and drink too. Well worth having a evening here.
