This new metro system has transformed Dubai public transport. It is very well designed with excellent and thoughtful signposting. What a contrast to London!

Dubai metro only has two lines but it surprisingly useful. The airport and main shopping and commercial centres are well served. It is cheap, simple to use, safe and clean. Metro is definitely easy to navigate in Dubai. Day ticket cost 16 Dirhams and includes buses also. The air conditioned bridges and walkways are nice break from the heat of Dubai.

Not many useful stations, long walking distance from the attraction to the station. It took me a whole 20-min walk from Dubai Mall to the Dubai Mall stations! Take a taxi, much more convenient and well-priced.
