We visited on a Saturday. We had a great time. Nice, relaxing way to spend a few hours. We had a nice lunch and sampled several wines. Enjoyed sitting outside, drinking wine and listening to the live music. The staff was very knowledgable and well trained.

My daughter and I stopped here and sampled the wine and walked the grounds. It was a fun, relaxed afternoon that we really enjoyed.

The staff were very knowledgable and FRIENDLY!! The winery is very clean and well cared for. They offer great gifts and fun shirts, hats, and wine souvenirs. The wine selection is spectacular and delicious! A person can tell the wine here is made with expertise and love! We will definitely be coming back!

The Grape Stomp weekend festival in September is an amazing time! We have been there as vendors and as visitors. Saturday is the day to go for all the activity and lots of fun wine drinker watching as it turns to evening. They have I Love Lucy look alike contests and grape stomping galore! Friday and Sunday is much less... More

Dear Poofbear, We love the Grape Stomp and are so pleased to hear that you do as well. All the fun things you mentioned will be returning to this year's festival - plus we have arranged to have the All American Logging Show performing all three days. We look forward to your return as a visitor or a vendor or... More

We visited the Carlos Creek winery as part of a Save Coin deal. We had a very nice time and enjoyed the wines we sampled, as well as bought a few to take home with us. Everything was very well done, clean and put together. We did have a bit of a time finding the place; we did not see... More

Dear Sunseeker, Thank you for taking the time to post about Carlos Creek. This is the first time we have worked with Save Coin and we are really enjoying all the visitors from North Dakota! I am glad you were able to eventually find us! We are out of town a bit, and GPS is not always reliable in the... More

Saturday afternoon we visited the Carlos Creek Winery in its lovely setting near Alexandria, MN. The atmosphere is a blend of welcoming country and savvy social surroundings. It's not just a "wine" experience; there is a litany of special attractions. Mystery parties, shopping at artisan's booths, and fabulous local musicians are part of it all. As return visitors, there is... More

I had a great time visiting last summer. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and the live music was an extra bonus. The wine. In my opinion, the wines all run a bit on the sweet side, so their "dry" wines were perfect easy drinking wines for me. My favorites include the Frontenac, Trinity, and Cuvee. The apple wines... Upon my recent visit to the winery, I was very disappointed to learn that they no longer accept the Co-op Connections REA discount card. (It’s a discount for residents in the local area on Runestone Electric Association. Carlos Creek Winery is a participant in this program.) The discount is good for free wine tasting, one offer per member per visit.... More

Thank you for visiting our winery. Our apologies about the REA program confusion. We discontinued our relationship with this program over a year ago, but were unaware that REA continued to list this offer on their web site. I have called REA to have our name removed from their list of offers. In the original mailing, all offers are listed... More

I was very disappointed in their own wine --- but they put on a nice welcome and have beautiful countryside. Wine is really only average --- I never bought any, but they have unique wines, blueberry, rhubarb, etc.
