My husband and I hired a car for three days from Puerto Natales (from 4-6 May) and stayed in a small 2 bedroom cabin at Hostel Lago Tyndall (the options for accommodation in or near the park are very limited after April), which is just outside the main administration entrance, on the banks of Rio Serrano. There were no boats... More

We took a one day bus trip in Torres del Paine through Turismo Zaajh. Unfortunately, it was a very overcast day, so we did not see the full beauty of the area. What we did see was very pretty and scenic. We enjoyed the tour. I especially loved seeing all the guanacos.

The National Park is huge, so expect a lot of driving on dusty gravel roads. The hike to the Torres themselves takes about four hours there and four hours back again. It isn't a difficult hike but a long one. The Torres are worth it though. As the weather is rather unpredictable, you have better chances of seeing them if... More

The mountains are so beautiful. They are everywhere!! But be prepared for super windy conditions (80 to 100km/hr winds was posted at the ranger station) and a quick changing climate (rain)

Despite we spent only 3 days there we succeeded to climb to Torres, visited Glaciar Gray and Cuernos del Paine ,other attractions and unforgetable views at the morning or evening. It ´s a lot of walk, hike and drive but it´s sure you will love it as we did. Amazing place in Patagonia which should not be missed when there.

Not to be missed when in southern Chile. These mountains are the youngest on the planet, they were formed 13,000.000 years ago. They came right out of the ground at sea level There are lakes and waterfalls surrounding the mountains that are filled with opaque greenish/blue water, caused by running off of volcanic moutains and carrying along with them, volcanic... Wow and wow, this was one of the most beautiful part of our earth I've ever been to. Words or pictures can't begin to describe this area of Patagonia Chile in the southern part of South America. People from all around the world come to visit this gorgeous area. We stayed at a lodge for three days there, drove to... More

Definitely worth the hike. Absolutely beautiful when you get to the like at the base of the Torres. It's a long day and you go through many weather systems, so layer your clothes and bring plenty of water and food.

It is a photographers paradise on a good day. If overcast or raining it could be miserable. It is however a long way to go from El Calafate and had I known that the road is sealed all the way we would have rented a car as the mini bus drivers have a different agenda to tourists and they stop... It was wonderful to see these beautiful animals...the guanacos in addition with the dynamic scenery. I was on a Hurtigruten Antarctica cruise and one of the tours was a trip to the Torres del Paine National Park. It was January and the flowers were in bloom. Mountains, plains and glaciers...so impressive. We stopped for an included snack at a lodge.... More
