This beach is 40-45mins away from downtown by car/taxi, so this can make for a nice day getaway. However this has its downside too, as it tends to horribly packed in the weekend, you can hardly have space to lay your towel there! A better way to enjoy the beach is to go have a brunch at the Sheraton hotel... More

It is a nice resort, you can find all range of hotels, restaurats and etertainment. But mostly I was impressed about the beach. It was very clean and sand was nice.To be mentioned that I was in January (off season somehow ) and it was not so crowdy.

We tried Italian food Pizza, Pasta etc., service was good, excellent place to go, nice view as well Beach View is advantage, you will find real 5 star feel

you should get there for the weekend and book in advance , the beaches are wonderful,sandy and clean. we had a BBQ there ,really nice

Nice place to be, but the tourists and chinese people made the place a little dirty... So its not the beach i would go now that i know shenzhen better....

It's a beach with some shops behind it. That's it. Can get amazingly busy, and that stretch of the coast is neither especially clean or particularly beautiful. Go for lunch at the Sheraton and/or have a gawp at the yachts in the Marina. Bus connections from central Shenzhen are cheap, frequent and relaible

Too crowded, especially during the holidays. Xiao mei sha is much better and only a little further up the road.
