This is outside the town, much quieter in the day than Yalong Bay. Comes alive at night with tons of bbq stalls, lively mobile karaoke and lots of beach sellers - actually selling things you want to buy (mangoes/fruit/food). Great atmosphere & feels safe.

We went there to enjoy the sunset but it was a bit clouded. Still we had a gr8 tym enjoying the sea at low tide. The coconut trees all along the bay are very attractive.

Lovely sandy beach with palms and warm sea with safe swimming. Unfortunately a lot of the areas to sit in the shade of the palm trees have been highjacked by the big hotels and the military and most if the rest has been taken over by beach sports facitities and restaurants, so you have to pay to sit down. Quad... More

I first went to Dadonghai beach and it was really second class. THis is supposed to be an international tourist destination but the beaches have almost no toilets. I saw a women with two small girls and one took a dump right on the sand and the mother just kicked sand over it. ON Sanya Bay, the water is boring... More

This beach is boring, there is zero amenities on it ie, tiki bar, eats, even cabanas or for that matter a single public bench.Top that with hard sand and water that is not clear you have a class c beach at best. There is no reason to make a trip to see it. If you are booking a hotel on... More

We found this beach shack when we were checking out the beach by our Holiday Inn and decided to have a drink. Then we saw that they, young men and possibly their mother as the cook, had a table with various fish and vegetables displayed . Later we found that we could choose whatever we wanted to eat and they... More

nothing special, too crowded, wave is big but still allow tourist to do underwater (discovery diving) activity. Feel like the place is more than the market than a peace beach, using all the water activity to attract tourist, can't really enjoy the peaceful there

A main road with four lanes of racing traffic 24/7 skirts this beach separating it from the hotels on the opposite side. On the beach, vehicles of different types do their best to spoil the peace and quiet that a good beach should offer. Aside from the aforementioned there are still quiet spots but it seems clear that unless the... More

Sanya Bay is a low grade urban beach of a sort, even if you go far from the city center. Water is murky, some polluted, small vehicles ride back and forth on the beach stopping to flood you with their exhaust fumes, asking if you want a ride. No piece and quiet. The sky is never as blue as in... More
