Most amazing place I have ever visited .... The 6th Century Church is a beautiful place reputed to be directly on the site of the burning bush .... The Holy Mountains are stunning and Mount Musa is said to be the place where Moses received the Ten Commandments. Whether you are religious or not St Catherine's is a truly beautiful... More

We booked this excursion with Sharm Club. This say got off to a bumpy start for us as the Safari cars are not very comfortable for larger groups and my mother could not cope in the back of the car, although after much persuasion the Guide did switch places with her. St Catherine Monastery is interesting but I did hear... More

One of the world's great historical sites. The journey thro the desert is interesting, the monastery full of interest and the lunch was in a large, clean restaurant nearby, the food very good.

For any Christian or historian this trip is well worth taking, it has some of the most religious artefacts you could imagine. Sharing a story of persecution over many centuries eventually settled by Napoleon's Safe passage treaty, which is housed in the Monastery!

Such a historical visit and wonderful to go into the Sinai desert. The meal at the Ali Baba restaurant was good ( see separate review). The tour guide who was an Egyptologist certainly knew his stuff and was very helpful. Pity we did not have the stamina to climb Moses mountain to see the sunrise over the Sinai desert but... More

This trip was really disappointing, including picking people up we were travelling for 3.5 hours just to get there from sh arm. And bare in mind this place has special significance to me as I was brought up very religious,But even though I really wanted to go, it was a massive disappointment. We visited the coloured canyon on the way... More

It was a long trip (about 3 hrs on a coach) we stopped once and had a coffee. The Monastery was fascinating and they have a library of ancient books that I would like to have seen more of. We were only actually in the monastery for a short time, in fact 10 mins in th museum and really one... More
