A delight to visit without throngs of people, in fact just us and the caretaker. Beautiful and secluded with the impact of some of the more popular sites. A photographer could spend the entire day there with the light constantly changing the underground experience.
Dada Hari ni vav is a seven storeyed vav,it was built in 1419. all most 500 years old.Previously people used to get drinking water from this vav
Good thing was we did not have to travel much from Sabarmati Ashram. It is near to Sardar Vallabh bhai Patel Memorial too. It is a step well next to the masjid(beautifully carved) constructed by Baba Harir. worth a visit.

Have measured drawn some parts of the well. There is a mosque behind, worth a visit. Also visit the Railway yard canteen just 50 m
