Great place for outdoor activity. The lake attracts migratory birds from end nov till jan. Siberian crane and many more. Do carry binoculars and a camera. It has nice open grounds. Try to carry a picnic hamper preferably.

I went with friends on a Sunday from Gurgaon...had to navigate & check with people many times. The route has no board or directions & you have to go through narrow markets, dusty unlevelled roads at places. Entry tickets have long queues & once inside, you are on your own. There is a long winding walk that takes you around... More

I head out to Sultanpur pretty often, reach there by around 0830 and then spend time till around 1600hrs out there, hitting the Gurgaon highway before the maddening office rush begins. About the place: Its a bird sanctuary, not a picnic zone. So yes, the roads are a bit wild and uneven (some like to maintain as close as possible... More

Landed up by accident, it was nice though to catch up on memories of my college life tours in the area, enjoyed the Very Chilled Kingfisher to the hilt but the place is really neglected......SAD. Location is great though, Nice place for PicNic.

The Bird Sanctuary in Sultanpur is a vast expanse of rocky wilderness with a lake in between. Of course, the lake is now only an apology for a lake as the water seems to have dried up. the surroundings are beautiful and so is the maintenance of the lawns. Being only at a distance of about 35 kms. from Delhi... More

I have visited Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary twice in recent months - once in November and now in March. Both times it has been almost deserted and both times I have seen quite a wide range or birds - cranes, storks, eagles, egrets, geese, ducks, kingfishers. What the guides have told me is that many locals visit at the weekend and... More

If you are in the NCR and sick and tired of concrete buildings then Sultanpur is one of the places you could go to in search of greenery and peace. In the winter season it attracts a host of migrating birds and you could spend half a day absorbing the sights and sounds of this wondrful bird sanctuary. Sultanpur is... More

There are only fields areound the sanctuary which adds on to the beauty of nature expecailly yellow color of sarso. Must visit for all those in NCR. minimal fees - Rs.5 and camera fees-Rs.25 with parking fees... More
