This lake is better than Ooty lake. The boating charges may not sound interesting for a family of 3 as they charge around 550 for 3 seater speed boat. Instead charge per head would have been better.

Rather than spending time in ooty lake (full of crowd & noise ) better be in pykara & spent a decent time. The view is amazing surrounded by greeneries & ferns. Water level was very low... boats were not maintained properly.. the surprise rain when we were in the boat ride made it exciting though

If you are travelling to ooty via gudallur you can visit the water fall on the towards journey and when you are in the return journey visit the paykara lake for boating. In Pyakara lake we did boating , the lake is natural and very much clean.... with high mountains surrounded around...... over all great view

Lot cleaner and more beautiful than the Ooty lake. its location is awesome. Tucked away in a valley, obscure from the main road and yet easily reachable by car, it is defintely a must-see attraction in Ooty.

nice place in ooty, some water activities are there. But otherwise just scenic place. We went in rainy season and enjoyed the views and the driver through ooty

The waterfall area is a beautiful place. We took a lot of photos. Unfortunately, people dump their waste there too. It takes a bit of trek to reach the waterfall area. Heavy individuals and elderly people might have some problem

What a beautiful lake. Clear blue waters, brown sands and greenery all around. Can't ask for any better. Definitely recommend going.
