Treat yourself to a massage offered by one of the many masseuses with divans on the sand. If you're there in July, catch the Bali Kite Festival, a colorful international competition. « less

We walked the length of Sanur - only took about 50 minutes. A nice paved path along the beach. Lots of bars and eateries on the way - so stop and have a rest ( and a drink ) when tired. Its actually a lot of little beaches - Sindhu, Sanur and Cemara . Most hotels are near the beach... More

My wife and i like Sanur above other areas in the south of Bali as its quieter, the beach is great and it has a lovely path where you can wander for miles.....Stop for a drink, hire a pushbike, get a bite to eat...great choice of hotels and beautiful weather. Who could ask for more?

It has everything you want of Bali - the clothes and souvenirs and yet it is quiet. Walking in the streets is easy and everything is available within walking distance.

Beautiful beach, not as remarkable as Kuta could have been without all the tourists, and the sand was not friendly to the feet. But I like it

Ive gotta say that I was most disappointed with the beach at Sanur and the surrounds .. Lots of rubbish on the beachfront on either side of the Hyatt and the warning about prickly sea urchins in the shallows didnt help!

For the adventurous or inquisitive who plans to walk into the knee-high waters during low tide, please wear protective foodwear and watch where you place your next step. I've personally waded through the thick seaweeds, and seen sea urchins (sharp spikes!),and sea snakes. With the proper precautions, there are interesting encounters with star fish, crabs, hermit crabs, etc....

Sanur has the reputation of being a beach for the older crowd (leaving the waves and young travelers to the other beaches). So don't go to Sanur expecting a party atmosphere or great waves. This is a beach for laying out and eating at the nice restaurants that line the shore. There is okay diving and swimming is easy in... More
