as i remember the place... you could only see the tugu from a distance.. no one is allowed to come close. if this is a tourist spot...its a bad one. i remember they had high fence around it..

It is so memorable for us, surabaya people but there isn't something special with this place though. Hopefully it will be central of activity here with alot of event.

This is the icon of Surabaya, just like Monas of jakarta.... unless you're jogging or cycling then go head visit the place. But if you're using a car, there is no nearby parking spot, and to cross the street is very hot, hectic... Just go around or take picture from across the street

for those of you who would like to see and enjoy this monument, please try to pick other day than sunday to go here, coz on sunday morning there is too many people here and the monument surrounding becoming so dirty with the trash left over

from that place we can put the big inspiration and education by remain our hero duties to made Indonesia free .....

This museum is clean, informative, good maitanance, the guest could know the story how the hero to fighting, the entrance is Rp.5.000/ person

Well, indeed this monument and the museum has historical story for the next generations. The museum quite nice actually, but do not visit it on Sunday. as too crowd of children, and the AC seems not running.

Iconic monument and statues. Basement museum boasts of interesting dioramas and other exhibits, documenting the road to Independence. Entrance fee was about 7,000 Rupiahs.
