My friend and I did the 3 night / 4 day Rinjani trek with Rudy Trekker in June and it was AMAZING. I’ve done several hikes throughout Asia, Europe and the Caucasus and have had the privilege of hiking with some excellent guides, but Abul was the best ever. His local knowledge, sense of humour, quiet enthusiasm and excellent cooking... More

We took the 3D2N trip from Sembalung - rim - lake - rim -Senaru with Galang Ijo and were very well taken care of by Lhuna and his team of porters. Most points already well covered by the other reviewers, but these are a few extra thoughts: 1. I am still amazed by the quality of meals they managed to... More

Beautiful mountain trail, especially on the crater rim and by the hotsprings... We had great guides, porters and good food. It was really cold and our clothes got soaked and did not dry- be sure to have at least one spare set of clothes reserved only for the nights!!! Suffered 3 deaths: one on day 1 with the entire day... Did the 3D/2N long weekend trek with Farosh. I can highly recommend Farosh as your organiser of choice. We got in touch with him through friends who used him before and especially liked the care and attention he provided in the pre-trek preparations to ensure all our questions are answered. With his long experience in the tourist sector in Bali,... More

I had ised this company last year before the owner changed the name. I had a great trip last year(2012) made the summit for sunrise, and no rain. THIS YEAR HOWEVER, Global Whatever stikes again as Rinjani and Seneru got blasted everyday. My plan was to "hang at the rim of the crater overlooking the incredible caldera and lake, and... More

We did the 3d/2n trip with Rudy Trekker in May 2013 and it was fantastic. The trek was hard work but the experience was amazing and the view from the summit was definitely worth it. One piece of advice, go with Rudy Trekker. He was a bit more expensive than some other groups but the quality and value was fantastic.... More

As all reviews have highlighted, Rinjani was tough. The summit climb was exceptionally challenging. Even though I have done much higher summits, the volcanic sand leading to the top was just torturous. Your feet sinks in every step you take, and you keep slipping back on the very soft black sand. Add a steep incline to that, and you can... More

This is my first attempt to climb Mt Rinjani and it was also the only reason why I was in Lombok. I took the 2 days 1 night package knowing that I would be camping on the mountain. The tour operator told me the climbing route was for beginner so I did not expect the climb to be difficult. Mt... More

This being my 2nd summit attempt, we were wiser this time to choose the 4d/3n package (heading via Sembalun-Summit-The Lake-Senaru) rather than rush through per our previous 3d/2n. This time we chose Rudy Trekker as our operator and wow we were absolutely blown away by the superlative service and guidance they provided. We had a number of first time trekkers... More
