Each trek can be half an hour or an hour and you will be taken through the surrounding areas. After your trek you will be able to watch a small show by our youngest elephant. If you do not want to want a show you are welcome to wash her instead and there will be plenty of opportunities for some amazing photos. You can also take the opportunity to visit our retired elephants and maybe take one of them for a walk with the mahout. If you just want to have a look around the foundation and chat to some of the English speaking volunteers you are more than welcome and there is no charge. All of our elephants have been rescued and all have their own story, there is an information board near the seating area where you can learn more about each individual elephant. We hope that you enjoy your visit and the time you can spend interacting with them. « less

This was a real highlight for us. Hutsadin Foundation are looking after mal treated elephants and really deserve a visit. We got to wash Songkran, the two year old baby and the pregnant elephant. We rode one of the older chaps and fed them. The grand old lady at 92 years old was just wonderful. It is not a tacky... More

We are glad that you enjoyed your visit to the foundation and found our elephants as entertaining and aborable as we do. Seeing Songkran go to pray is an amazing experience and she does it without any commands from her mahout - makes for some fantastic photos. Thanks for taking the time to write your review, it is appreciated:) More

Sanctuary for tired, injured, abandoned etc elephants. Most emphatically not a commercial operation, although they obviously sell rides, souvenirs etc, and this was where I chose to spend some baht (plus a donation to keep the place running - 500 baht goes a long way in Thailand). This is not just something for tourists to see - places like this... More

we visited the sanctuary as we wanted to support the work of the foundation, and to see the lovely elephants that have been saved from previous horrendous treatment and abuse.we were encouraged by some taxi drivers to go to another elephant place that also had crocodiles putting on a show and the elephants being made to do things just for the... Thank you so much for the lovely glowing report, it makes all the hard work of the volunteers and staff worth while. It was a pleasure to meet a group of people who were so eager to learn about the work we are trying to do here albeit on a very small scale. Of course if Tong Kam does produce... More

I've been to a number of Elephant refuges, attractions both here and in Africa. After reading previous reviews on this place, I was keen to check it out! Well first impressions last, and this place did not let me down. The ability to get hands on and discuss elephant issues with the volunteers was great. Jo was quick to show... More

So glad that we managed to catch you before you left to show you around. It would be great if we had english speakers here all the time. Still I'm glad that you enjoyed your time with us and that SongKran continues to entertain with her cute, adorable ways. Come and visit us again one day for the full mahout... More

While in Thailand we were interested in elephants and exploring something off the beaten path, well the Hutsadin Elephant Foundation met both of these criteria. We traveled by Bangkok to the foundation and were struck immediately by how unassuming and tranquil it was. The staff were friendly but not pushy and while they appreciate tourist support this did not feel... More

The girls in Tourist information office informed us that this was the best place to see and ride elephants, A nice taxi driver took us there for 300 baht, return (he stayed there whilst we had our visit). We opted for the 1 hour ride, which was interesting. The elephant kept stopping to eat juicy leaves along the way, and... More

We visited here on the recommendation of the girls in the tourist information center. Our taxi driver tried to persuade us to visit a more commercial place also near by but we stuck to our original choice and was very pleased that we did! The visit was so much more personal, having enjoyed an hours ride on one of the... More

We had a wonderful couple of hours at this sanctuary, it's not glamorous or modern just genuine place where the rescued elephants are well looked after. We took an elephant for a walk, fed her, washed her and chatted to the guide who told us all about her and what she likes. You really got to interact with the animals... More

Thank you for taking the opportunity to walk with one of our gentle giants and we are pleased that you found it such a unique and enjoyable activity. Although you didn't say in your review I'm assuming that you took Tong Kam (our hopefully pregnant one) for a walk, she is the most placid and friendly animal in the world... More

After reading through ALOT of reviews trying to decide where was best to see elephants in the Hua Hin area we decided the Hutsadin Foundation sounded like the best in terms of treatment of the elephants. Overall it was a fairly pleasant experience. It was a little awkward on arrival and we were the only tourists there at first- when... More

We are so glad that you got to spend some time with Songkran and give her a shower and that you found that part of your visit a very positive one. A must see if your in the Hua Hin area. Lots of energy needed, much better i guess in the raining season which is why we will go back to see it again. Use some insect repellent as you may get bitten a few times.

So glad you enjoyed your visit to us. The rainy season will be upon us very shortly and things will start to green up very quickly giving the elephants some much needed fresh grass to eat! More
