I stumbled across this village on the way out of Hua Hin. It is made up of quirky rooms and studios where different artists show their art in different settings. A few artists have turned their area into studios where they producing their art. It was wonderful wondering in and out of the different sections. Also cooling from the heat... More

Doesn't look like much until you get in, the village is a small sprawl (doesn't make much sense I know - you'll get what I mean if you go) with a whole range of different artists studios where you can view an array of different styles and mediums. A real pleasure to wander around and as I'm no art critic... More

After all the souvenir junk one sees around Hua Hin, it was really refreshing to go to the Artist Village and see true art. The village is a lovely spot, shaded by trees, and a labyrinth of one artist shop after another. Lots of paintings, some sculpture, clothing and jewelry, masks, and some antiques for sale sprinkled here and there.... More

A wonderful artist's village, with lots of folk who are truly modern artists, along with some traditional Thai arts and crafts. A great place to spend an afternoon - good coffee and snacks, lots to see, a place to work with other artists and a shop with supplies. Clean, beautifully laid out - the place itself is a work of... A nice not so commercial place to wander around and see Thai hand-made art straight from the artists making it. There is no entrance fee, free parking, coffee-shop and even an work-shop to learn more about art. Also very much fun for children. It is NOT accessible for wheel-chairs.

This artist village is really special. Here, you can paint your own canvases, boxes, small statues, picture frames and more! Nang, the resident artist, shows you different techniques and teaches. Pictures painted by the artists that stay there are also on sale. Baan Sillapin is an outstanding experience, you really should go there if you are visiting Hua Hin or... More

My family lives in Hua Hin, and this is one of our favourite places. There is an art class on Saturday mornings, which is brilliant for the kids. They can choose from several different size canvases and paint their own pictures. They can also buy inexpensive plain white stuffed toys and paint them. There are cats, fish, people, etc which... If you are looking for an authentic Thailand souvenir and are tired of being herded by a tour guide to a shop where you see the same things over and over again, this is it !!! The setting is very pretty. You get to speak with the actual artists that created the work. The prices, after some required bargaining are... More
