There is nothing to see at the castle except broken down walls. Nothing exciting. Ok it's historical, but could have been developed for tourist attraction. What is the point of making a big thing of it, yet nothing when you see it.

Nice view and place to take some panoramic photos. 10 min drive to get up there if you have a rental.
We didn't have much time in the castle as we visited as part of a day excursion to Alanya from Side but wow. The views are absolutely stunning from the castle and a visit is a must if you are in Alanya.
Alanya Kalesi is a wonderful place, regardless of the time of day.
The views are spectacular, there are wooden ramps for easy walking (I don't recommend it for people with wheel chairs or strollers, because it's still a bit rocky and contains several steps, "hills" and so on) and there are waste baskets for anything you need to toss away....

The whole castle is actually quite big, spreading over a large hilltop between Alanya's two beaches. It costs 10TL to be admitted to the top castle. We brought our stroller and there was a wooden platform where we could use it. But there were lots of small walkways we could not enter with it. Still, spectacular view and very much...

get the bus or taxi up and walk down off road, you will get much better views, and work up an appetite for a meal in one of the many good restaurants in the harbour.
Not much left of the castle, we went up by taxi and he stopped at the mosque and so other view spots on the way down. Got some good photos and the view is really nice. Worth going to see.
Very cheap morning out to get some history. 10 turkish lira to get in - a must see! steep walk up - consider getting the bus from antalya town for 2 turkish lira!
The castle has an interesting history and the views are GREAT. Reminds me of Greece a bit. We took a bus ride up that stopped at the half way point to take pictures and at the top. There is a bathroom near where the buses park. Refreshments are sold in a small store and there are people selling hand made...
