Situated near Cenang but definitely worse in terms of white and soft sand and overall comfort. Locals warm that in November there are very strong underwater currents.
Pantai Tengah was closest beach to my hotel Favehotel. A small stretch only. It was clean. The seawater wasn't as clear as Sabah's or Phuket's. But cleaner than Singapore. No public amenities for changing or washing off.
Tengah beach is within walking distance from the Ambong Ambong hotel which is why we went there. Short strip of beach, clean but no facilities except jetski rental. Part of the beach reserved to guests at the Lanai. Good for a few hours sunbathing if you don't need food or drink.
Its good beach just next to more popular Cenang beach. We liked this beach more as it has less crowd, so you can just walk on the beach sand without been disrupted. Beautiful place to watch the sunset which will always stay in my memory. Awesome. We stayed at Sunset Beach Resort which has a breakfast area overlooking the beach, fab place to start the day. This beach is not as crowded as Pantai Chenang.
Much nicer and less crowded than Cenang beach, para-sailing can be found there as well. it has a nice restaurant there by the sea called the lighthouse which offers good food but expensive.. yet if you want more water sports and activities then you should visit Cenang instead.
