Palau Payar in Langkawi was amazing... We snorkelled with baby sharks and lots of eye catching colourful fish. Although the ride to the beautiful island was the best. We had to get on shabby boat and after that got on a unstable speed boat (not dangerous) , that brought us to the island. We enjoyed the island so much. They... More

Scuba diving and Snorkeling are a must do there, the water is so clean that you can see the fishes right around you..there are baby sharks and you can swim with them... The dive was very a very short duration though they promised 40 mins...but still worth a go!!!

It is a place for snorkeling but it was just "so so"... We were briefed by the guide that we must not feed the fishes. However after our lunch, we saw some people throw their left over foods or bones into the sea. I did inform the guides about that, the responds i got from him was "it is ok,... More

DO NOT PAY IN AVDANCE AT EAST MARINE HOLIDAYS During our first dive, the visibility was less than 1 metre and there was current. We could barely see each other. We paid in advance for 4 dives (2 dives each) but given the conditions decided not to do the 2nd dive. East Marine dive masters were very good in terms... More

Its all about snorkeling!!!! Water was clean & clear & we can able to do a good snorkeling....enjoyed a lot. Nice places around. But the only concern is the changing room / Toilet; need lot of improvements on this. The rating is only for snorkeling.

Very disspointing after looking at those beautyfull photos! No clear water, almost unexistant and dirty beach. I've been in other places with the Marine Park badge on them and believe this is nothing like them. Save yourself a day of your trip.

We took a day trip from Langkawi to the marine park with Coral Island Tours. We were disappointed to hear that their pontoon option tour had sold out and that we needed to join the cheaper tour which meant we could only snorkel from the beach, not from the diving platform. it turned out to be a blessing in disguise.... You spend an hour in choppy seas only to arrive at a small polluted beach. Hundreds of tourists are crammed into small swimming area where you must snorkel within the bouys. Litter, poor coral and heavily commercial. A very unpleasant tourist trap. If you must go, don't go with East Marine divers. They are dishonest about what you will see... More

It was a pleasure to snorkel at Pulau Payar. It was not to crowded and there were many fish, like nemos, barracudas and jet fish even little sharks and turtles. Don't go with coral or the other company: they use a platform and its very crowded. East Marine is always the first company there - you have at least 45... More
