Nothing special as compared to other botanical gardens. Still prefer the one in Singapore. There are lots of monkeys here so be careful of your belongings. If you got nothing to do and want a walk in the park, guess it is ok to come here. Weather is to humid and hot to walk around.

as botanical gardens go, this one was quite simple, small, and pleasant. you could either get on a little open trolley and be driven around, or you could stroll. It was green and lush, but not particularly interesting.

As usual, botanical gardens are always associated with monkeys. Nowadays, they are more daring as they have been coerced by humans to be so. Some of them are daring to intimidate humans. Apart from that, there are a lot of greenery around for nature lovers. But always beware of the tailed 'friends'

It's quite a long bus ride out of town to get to the gardens - come here for the pleasant walk through the trees and greenery rather than any spectacular plants though. The highlight are the macaque monkeys that are here and which some people (bravely) actually feed so you can get up pretty close - be prepared to run... More

We went to see the monkeys and were not disappointed. There was an especially cute baby with its mother. They come very close so very easy to take photos. We thought the staff driving the train could have been more friendly and approachable.

1st don't mistake the wrong entrance Penang Municipal park, gardens are just round the courner. No entrance fee but a shuttle bus/train (4MYR) can take you part round. est to go separate and find side tracks up into the hills. Bus 10 will take you there

Don't bother with the train, it doesn't go anywhere and does not stop. All of the flower exhibits are locked! I guess to keep the monkeys out too, It was too hot to walk up the hill but the monkeys will keep you entertained, If you get the bus there, you get dropped off in the car park BUT make... More

The bus trip alone on No. 10 bus from Komtar exchange, made this an interesting trip. The gardens themselves are very pretty but it was so hot we paid 2 MYR to use the electric train that drives around the gardens. We would have liked to have done some walks but it was way too hot for that. The "canon... More
