Two mesmerizing buddhist temples across the road is worth a visit once in Penang. The artwork inside the temple is truly magnifique. It was my sheer pleasure to experience a calm & silent atmosphere in temple premises, really was an great feeling for me & my wife in both temples across the roads.

The temple opposite has the headlines of the large reclining Buddha but for me this is the much nicer and more impressive temple. It is set in quite large grounds so great for a nice stroll around looking at the various temples and buildings. They also have very large upright Buddha in the main temple which is quite a stunning... More

Two contrasting Buddhist temples across the road from one another. The view from the top of the bell tower is amazing. The journey through Buddhism in the serene gardens with easy to follow descriptions will not fail to enlighten you.

While here you can have a Buddhist monk say a prayer or blessing for you which had brought me incredible good luck on this trip. These... More

Learned more about Buddha in this temple looking at the paintings on the wall and the sculptures in the garden than I have from visiting all the wats in Thailand. It's not touristy at all, you could spend all day here - lots of shady places to sit down. Lots of interesting things to look at, it's not obviously serene,... More
