Two temple, one is burmese and the other is the thailand temple is just across the street. actually i preferred the thailand temple as it reside a sleeping buddha inside the temple. It is mostly for tourist attraction, no cost is needed to enter the temple.
Two mesmerizing buddhist temples across the road is worth a visit once in Penang. The artwork inside the temple is truly magnifique. It was my sheer pleasure to experience a calm & silent atmosphere in temple premises, really was an great feeling for me & my wife in both temples across the roads.
The temple opposite has the headlines of the large reclining Buddha but for me this is the much nicer and more impressive temple.
It is set in quite large grounds so great for a nice stroll around looking at the various temples and buildings.

Two contrasting Buddhist temples across the road from one another. The view from the top of the bell tower is amazing. The journey through Buddhism in the serene gardens with easy to follow descriptions will not fail to enlighten you.
There is more incredible art in these two temples right next to each other than I ever saw in such a small area. These temples are also the final resting place of many souls. Dharmikarama Burmese Temple have a clean and spacious park. we can explore every corner which full of Buddhism journey and learning. I surprised with the richness of culture and the architecture. and the good things is not many beggar here. So find and enjoy the environment, i believe you will get a peaceful moment

Also known as Standing Budhha.Just opposite the Sleeping Buddha at Pulau Tikus.No problem getting there by bus.The fares is RM1.40/person but please make sure you have enough small change,No refund.
