A well preserved relic of the Colonial period that will not hold one's interest beyond a photo. Not to be missed is an interesting bronze of a dragon on the steps leading to the river. It projects its menacing view at the Sarawak Parliament Building across the river.

At the end of the Kuching waterfront, you will find this square and small tower. Nice to take photo here.

This relic of the Brooke colonial era is impossible to miss and helps imagine how the waterfront may have looked to boats coming up the Sarawak River. An obligatory photo subject and possible landmark reference but the interaction ends there.

A nice building, but there is not too much else to see here. Take a picture, enjoy the waterfront and then move on.

Quaint, small tower that is one of Kuching's colonial heritage buildings. Would look much better with a repaint.

Build in 1879, firstly served as City Jail, later converted into defensive fortress, then a dance hall. Before it being closed down recently, it had being used as information center for tourists. It is located at the end of Waterfront, oppositing the new State Legislative Assembly Building. The tower is not big, nor magnificient. However, it form a great contrast... More
