The ramparts provide an excellent platform to overlook both the town and the coast. Can get very just hi generally hassle free. It can get very very windy !!!
Make sure to get here in good time to nab a seat on top of the walls and watch the sun sink while the north Atlantic swells crash in on the rocks beneath. Glorious - but bring a jacket if it's late in the season - the temperature drops dramatically as the light goes!
Be there for sunset, enjoy the tranquility and above all breath deap. Life is good, and as the sun gently falls from the sky, fading over the Atlantic Ocean, with Africa's warmth still holding on, it's hard not to smile, ah yes, life is good.
