Every time I go I notice something else that I dislike about this originally delightful Island in the Atlantic side of Panama. The water is simply dirty, the crowd is not respectful enough of the place, and that is a true pity.

The tranquility of this beatiful area located in the Caribbean part od Panama invited us to do snorkling. We saw people doing scuba and surfing. There are some nice hotels and lodges in the area and we saw scuba diving offices.
Just a normal island, with normal restaurant and normal beaches. There are much better beaches in Panama by Bocas del Toro or San Blas. It's nice for a day, maximum two.

Panama's beaches aren't the greatest, but the Caribbean side always measures up much better than the Pacific. Isla Grande is clean with beautiful water. Drive to La Guaira, park your car for $3/day and take the water taxi to the island. ($3/pp) They'll drop you off on the public beach of the Hotel Isla Grande, where you must pay another...

I took my son, wife and her friend to Panam City on Feb 6 2011. We flew from Atlanta into Tocumen Airport and rented a car. I had reservation through travelocity for the car rental. There several other car rental at the airport. Only a couple open 24 hrs. We drove to the Country Suite at the Amador Causway hotel....
