The Moscow Zoo is a zoo that has almost all animals to see. The zoo is huge and is divided in too parts: The old zoo and The new zoo. You have to spend there about 2 h. to see all the animals and you can have lunch in one of the cafes .The only problem is to get there... More

I was very happy and after other reviews pleasantly surprised at how nice and humane this Zoo was. We are strong animal lovers and we live in San Diego which is home to one of the best Zoos on the planet. We visited the Moscow Zoo in February and it was amazing to see all the animals enjoying the winter... More

The Zoo is really bad, starting with the security guard that offers to let you in for half the regular fee paid directly to him (we certaintly declined) and finishing with poor conditions most of the animals have to live there. Was really disappointed.

It's very bad organized. There are pavilions in which you have to pay additional money to get in. There are amusements that distract children from seeing animals. From my point of view, the best zoo in Europe is Berlin's zoo.

Is a big zoo but you can only enjoy in summer cause in winter you will freeze for sure. They have a good number of animals attractions and places to eat and make a stop. Personally is a good place to go once and see..

Nothing is perfect, of course, but i was quite favorably impressed with the moscow zoo. The polar bear exhibit with the "teenagers" wrestling in the water was one of the most memorable of all time for me. There was a great variety of animals, some i have never seen before in USA zoos. The animal facilities were far better than... More

Like many things in Moscow, the zoo is old and in a state of disrepair. Many cages are empty and yes the animals are generally in cages. This is no state of the art animal sanctuary but a collection of various animals to look at rather than see in a natural like environment. You need to follow your nose to... More

it is quite small and some of the animals look like they need help. i am no fan of zoos with caged animals, but this one looked way too depressing. you dont feel like you are out of town, close to nature and animals.. feels like you are in the market in the city centre, the only difference being -...
