Lovely Buildings & Architecture the opulence is amazing, just stroll around take note of the pictures throughout they are in fact all mosaics probably the only church I have been in with so many and don't miss the floors

Well worth a look inside as it is beautifully decorated with mosaics.at weekends you will see lots of wedding parties having photos here after their ceremonies elsewhere.

A must for any visit to St Petersburg but make sure you get the story of "Spilled Blood". A photographers dream!

I thought this cathedral was very impressive. It's very large with intricate decorations on the exterior. It's not as nice on the exterior as St. Basil's Cathedral in Moscow, but I'd say it's #2. We only viewed it from outside, but for me this was probably the highlight of all the great sights of St Petersburg. An absolutely stunning building, which I preferred to the more colourful St Basil's Cathedral in Moscow. Lovely.

Considering last Czar will killed here by Russian revolutionaries it has great significance. It is adjacent to canal and you would pass by if you take canal ride. It resembles St Basil's Cathedral of Moscow

I got the opportunity to go into this beautiful church and was happy to pay both entry fee and the fee to tske pictures inside this gorgeous church every wall column and ceiling was painted outstanding and if anyone thought the outside better inside is crazy both were wonderfully beautiful and l was privileged to see both

Everything one expects in a Russian Orthodox church. Well maintained in an excellent location. Take advantage of the open air Vernisage market across the street for some good watercolors and the usual assortment of Russian souvenirs.
