We really enjoyed this expansive cavern with its strangely shaped stalactites and stalagmites. Some told a story. It was fun to use our imaginations in interpreting them.

Personally it was only fun with the guide describing the different formation in the cave, otherwise they will just be rocks to me. I only saw Chinese speaking guide though.

Before I visited this cave, I had seen about half a dozen limestone caves with stalactite and stalagmite formations and I really wondered in what way is this cave going to be different? But, no sooner than I approached it I realized the difference. To begin with the the infrastructure built around and up to the cave is top class.... More

The caves are huge and have a lot of formations that are illuminated. It takes about 45 minutes to go round.

We were amazed how big this cave is! It's huge. After a bit of a climb by stairs, you will be constantly surprised by its beauty. Mainly because of the colorful lights, red, blue, yellow, purple in combination with the odd shapes, i really liked it.!

The cave is truly a site to behold. I remember going to a similar limestone formation in Lencois, Brazil - the lights were turned off and we experienced pitch darkness and silence. Not so here - lights a blazing and mics up full volume. Oh and in case there's not enough excitement, you can pay extra to see some rather... More

I was there more or less by accident and half an hour before they close the doors (17:30). We were the only one there and got a private guide. The cave was empty, no other visitors. The cave is very big and lighted out with different colours. I would say very chinese, but anyway, go there and find out!

This is a must do event. Please go and share in this but take your time. Don't rush it. We enjoyed having the time to imagine what certain rocks were. Also live turtles inside cave as well as alligators

I would recommend seeing this cave if you visit Guilin. It is definitely worth the time. It is a very large cave with spectacular rock formations, but be prepared for the over-the-top lighting. Bright florescent colors that definitely detract a little from the truly spectacular rock formations in the cave.
