A great natural pool in Austin, where you can go when the Texas days get hot hot hot. A ticket costs 3 dollar, which is very cheap because it is valid for the whole day. The only thing I found negative is that you can't bring any food to the pool, which is a shame if you want to stay... More

First time bringing the family here, love the water for what it is. Will have to go for the other park cause they won't let you bring dog at Barton pool.

I used to come here when I was a kid. So now that I'm grown with kids of my own, I wanted to come back and bring my kids so they could experience it. It was just like I remembered. The freezing cold water is so refreshing in the summer heat. We were there on a Wednesday afternoon so it... More

Unlike any city swimming pool I've ever seen: a "contained" and managed natural rock formation. Grounds and amenities provide mixture of shade for picnics, fields for recreation. Cute hobby train ride for kids. Paths for biking, walking. We visited when the pool was being set up for opening and imagine it is quite crowded when the weather is just right... More

I thought this was going to be just like a blue river, not much to see, but it's water so fun to play with. These springs are so clear you can see the fish and seaweed and bottom of it ! It's so clean and sections off for shallow water, canoeing, swimming laps, even for dogs to play in ones... More

Enjoyed swimming here and the entry price is reasonable. Cool, clear water is refreshing. Slippery bottom though so be careful. Bath house is old but has great charm and i hope they keep its original style if its ever remodeled. Recommended for a couple of hours.

Although it was rather crowded, this place is big enough to handle a crowd. Very well maintained, but VERY chilly! Not being from Texas, I've never experienced this type of pool before. I see some people call it a natural spring. Ok, the springs itself is natural, but much of it is cement, like a regular man-made pool. We had... More

Barton Springs pool was very nice and clean. You have to pay $5 to park or if you don't mind a hike, park at Zilker park and walk.
