Not the most amazing sculptures you've ever seen, but they have the best names. Goat. Woman. Bench. Bench II. Sculpture.

I liked the way the pieces were displayed, I just did not think most of the pieces were all that special. Just a matter of taste I suppose. There were several "mother and child" works that I'd like to see in my yard, and these alone might be worth a very reasonable admission price, but if I had a limited... More

This gem of a sculpture garden, located by Zilker Park, is well worth the visit for both Austin residents and out of town visitors. Serene and peaceful setting with beautiful sculptures; a lovely way to spend an hour or two on a beautiful day.

Displaying the work of Charles Umlauf, this sculpture garden is a lovely way to expose children to art within the confines of a walled gallery. The many sculptures, spanning decades of this artist and teacher's work, are placed around the garden property that had been home to Charles Umlauf and his wife and children. Not only is the work interesting... More

The type of experience that is right in your backyard but you may not take the time to enjoy until you have company. The sculptures are beautiful as is the landscape surrounding them. Wraps you in a cocoon of tranquility while the city madness rages around you.

Wonderful oasis in central Austin, right next to Zilker Park. Umlauf was a talented and humble man who did some amazing work, and the gardens and facility displaying his works are worth the trip. In addition to his sculptures, there is also the treat of wandering through the gardens which have lovely water features, lots of trees, and overall calming... More

We spent a perfect shaded afternoon at the Umlauf. They provided a search-and-find activity for the kids which kept them entertained and helped them focus on some of the details of the sculptures. Loved that! The garden is beautiful and lush. There are plenty of benches to stop for a break. We also enjoyed the video inside the museum that... More
