I love walking or running around the Town Lake Trail. It's a great way to see the beauty of Austin and check out some of the sites like Auditorium Shores, S. Congress and the bats and more. It can get crowded on weekday evening and weekends, but still very peaceful. Always interesting people watching and fun to watch the canoers... More

I've run many a trail and sidewalk in my travels over the years, and this is by far the best. Very wide and well maintained all the way around the loop. It's a perfect spot to train for nearly any distance run, or just to walk on a nice day (stay to the right though, please)!

Great place to enjoy the outdoors. Great views along the trail. We were there on a Saturday and ran into a little band at one area and stopped for a while to listen. Cool area.
