It was breathtaking. On the brazil side you see much more beauty and wide open landscape than on the other side. Great place to be!
The noise coming from this mighty river is awesome and the amount of water streaming over the falls is so huge in volume one has to see it to believe it especially coming from a country such as Australia which was in drought at the time.
This is something that everyone should have a go at - as well as visiting both sides of the falls (Argentine & Brazilian). Protect your camera with plastic - it is worth taking one for close-up shots of the falls (from underneath!!) and don't worry so much about yourself - wear swimshorts if you can - or just shorts. i have just returned from a trip that included the iguacu waterfalls of which i saw from the brazilian side and the argentinian side . such an amazing natural wonder , so much water and so many beautiful waterfalls . make sure to go to the platform nearerest the falls and take care not to get your camera too wet...

From the "Three Countries Marker" on the side of Puerti Iguazu, Argentina, the mouth of the Iguacu empying into the Parana river is impressive. Additionally, while stading at the blue and white Argentine marker, the marker of Brazil is visible across the Iguacu, and the marker of Paraguay is visible across the Parana.
we did not have the time to go for a ferry ride on the river as our whole time was spent trekking the national parks on both sides... however, after the lower circuit, we took the free ferry to san martin isle and did the slightly strneuous trek there... the views of the falls at the end of that trek...

After a walk of approx. 20 minutes into the rain forest, you arrive at the little boats. These boat brings you to the falls. This is really a life time experience.
