They say where ever in the Old Town. You are can follow the river backward and it will lead you back to the Sifang Square. And it's true, lol.

Good place to watch the early morning and evening dances by the Naxi women, but the bars and clubs nearby drown out the traditional music - something the Lijiang authorities should act on. Otherwise can be pleasant during the low season and early hours of the morning, and good views of the Hizi Mount / Lion Hill.

Too many loud bars/pubs. Although the city has rules that music should not go past 11:30 at night, it has no regulation toward the volume. If you have gone there years ago, you can revisit to see the big change

As noted by fellow reviewers, one cannot miss the Square as it is literally the center of the Lijiang Old Town. This is a lovely place to people watch and be watched. People watching the Naxi ladies dancing and getting the visitors to join in and being asked to have your photo taken with various Chinese people. Lots of activity and some times extremely busy with big tour parties.
