Eravikulam National Park, predominantly, a hill plateau, is a delight to visit. It is a small trek and along with way you come across some wonderful scenery - keep your camera handy and you can click some breathtaking pictures against a very scenic backdrop. We got lucky and managed to click a few pictures of the endangered Nilgiri tahr -... More

The best part of this place is the scenery and view from the hills. Fabulous. A very neat and clean ticket/booking place with ample parking area. The national park is for a mountain goat which you will easily spot. However, you should climb up to have a breathtaking view of the valley. You'll be sailing through the clouds.

The place is always crowded so reach very early to avoid long queues. They take you to the top of the hills to spot the Nilgiri Thar and the view from the place is spectacular.. Great for a trek and day picnic.

I visited this place in Dec' 2011. A very beautiful setting by nature, with occasional spotting of the wild goat. You are transported by means of a bus to a resting place, from which you can walk uphill and explore on your own. Interestingly, the walk uphill is not tiring but so much rejuvenating...Simply loved it....Great maintenance by Kerela govt.... More

The arrangements done by the government to take tourists to the national park are really good. We have mini buses at regular intervals. However, once we reached there, it was a disappointing experience. Only a few Nilgiri Tahr's were visible.

The place offers a great view of the hills, but for a national park, there are no wild animals. We spotted only mountain goats. If you want to visit, it is advisable to start early - 8am or so, to beat the rush.

I went along with my family in the month of august. Though its famous for its wild goats but there's much more to explore...we came across small pretty waterfalls...a small old temple in the woods....loved hiking. The surrounding scenic beauty is breathtaking. Definitely a must go for photographers who like to capture natural beauty. Would definitely visit again.
