Worth a visit go by private boat and your guide will take you to parts of the island which are less crowded.

We went here on a private boat. this cost us around £80, But it was well worth it, as we could stay on the island as long as we wanted. We took a picnic with us and chilled under the trees for hours. A must see if you are staying in Ko Phi Phi Don.

We went here as part of a group tour. When we arrived there were quite a few boats and tourists but we climbed over a few rocks and a couple of bays along it was near deserted. Once the day trippers left by about 5pm, and we had cleared up their rubbish (why do people feel the need to litter... More

Do not expect an empty island (everywhere in Phi Phi and Phuket is full of tourists). Since the island is bigger than the others beaches, you can walk and find an "empty" area to stay.

Stunning island and beautiful beach. Very picturesque and enjoyed it ALOT, however can get awfully busy as lots of tours stop here. We did a long boat trip as a couple much nicer than being crammed on a speed boat with 25+ people that's for sure! A must visit if your going to Phi Phi

No bamboo trees but lots of pine/ casuarina trees providing good shades on the hot sunny day. A place for picnics or just sit under the shade and relax. The beach is wide, clean and ideal for swimming. No threatening stong waves.

Phi Phi is magnificent and practically the same wherever u go. If any one has the scope to stay at any resort with a little private beach, IMHO will find bamboo island giving same experience. This place is very close to the Northest end of Phi Phi, so u can see it from Laem tong beach where Holiday Inn, Zeavola... More

We visited Bamboo Island / Koh Phai in May 2013 the weather was lovely, a few clouds, that said it was a very hot sunny day! Bamboo Island is north of Phi Phi Don and offers panoramic views of the Andaman Sea. The gorgeous remote island has soft white sand and crystal turquoise waters. Its a National Park and requires... Very beautiful!! However avoid the times of day tours because you'll be sharing the beach with thousands of people.
